Netless Monday
My router’s down and I’m stuck internet-less for tonight. What a tragic way to begin a new week.
Only recently I was just thinking that it’s about time I actually wrote a proper blog. I’ve been writing in short sentences and whatnots that I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve lost my touch of writing proper sentences with paragraphs. Ha!
Since today’s Monday – which means no work, spent the day gardening with daddy and chilling at home. Dad cleaned up the whole fountain today as well. Towards the end of the day, our house lights started to flicker continuously and giving me headaches. Thus I decided to switch off my room lights and just leave my table lamp on as I thought it wouldn’t flicker. Boy was I wrong! My room was practically turned into a disco club as it started to flicker along with the music coming from my laptop. -_-“ kind of cool actually.. hahahaha
My dad finally called up TNB after much frustration with the flickering. Apparently it was some cable problem and the guys turned off the main switch, leaving the house in total darkness for about half an hour or so. Me and mummy started to light tea candlelight around the family and my room. Heheheh so romantic!
The lights and electricity finally came back on, along with a bill of RM$150. ok lahhhh.. hahahah I was very much relieved. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to say the same for my router :( Was hoping that since the TNB boys was able to fix the flickers, they might even do wonders for my dead router!!! Aahahahahha what nonsense.
Guess tomorrow I might have to check out the computer shop at 1U and see whether it’s the route or plug cable problem.
Philo texted me earlier on, asking if I’m back in Singapore as she and her boyfriend will be heading down for a day trip. Sadly I’m still stuck here, until my passport comes back to me and when I’ve got the free time again. Even if my passport comes back this mid week, it might be too late to head back. Then again, I need to make a trip home to tidy up my apartment properly cos MayMay, Simon and Haz might be heading to Singapore together with me mid May. Hmmm. Tricky.
Recently my holiday mood is back again. I feel like making a trip down to the beach, just like the times back in Sydney. The beach was just few bus-stops away damnit!!!! Just lying on the towel or sitting on the pillar, watching the clouds passing by, adorable children playing and screaming near the banks, feeling the cool salty breeze and making silly shadows on the sand. After that, head down to Max Brenner to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and strawberry waffles, overlooking the sea and those charming houses beside it. The ferry would reach just in time for us to hop on back to the city.
lastly, my favourite pic of the night....
BEDTIME!!!!!
