Travelling Tips #1001

OK, here's some news from my friend who works in hotels for 20 years :

Every single hotel, there shall be at least a permanent room which should be left vacant at all times. No matter how full the hotel is, they are not to sell that room(s) to any guest. It is said that the special room was "reserved" for those "special visitors".

So, if you plan to stay in some hotel, always book in advance. Try to avoid walk in. If the receptionist told you there's no more room available, do not insist one anymore or try to bribe them to give you a
room. If you do that, most of the time the room you have will be that "special room".

Sometimes those "special visitors" might go to other rooms also, so here's some tips on how to protect yourself:


- Before entering your room, always knock on the door first, even you know the room is vacant.


- After you enter the room, if you feel very cold suddenly and have "chicken spores", leave the room quietly immediately and go to reception to request to change room. Most of the time the receptionist will
understand what's happening.


- After you enter the room, immediately switch on all of the lights, and open the curtain to let the sun light in.


- Before you go to bed, arrange your shoes so that one of them is upside down. Some say this is representing yin& yang to protect you while you're asleep.


- Always leave at least a lamp on while you're sleeping, preferably the toilet's lamp.


- If you're staying alone and they have given you a twin bed, do not sleep with the other bed vacant, try to put your things like luggage on the other bed before you sleep

Please pass this info to those who travel!

Flaws can be useful too



An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of it's accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, the cracked pot spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all
the way back to your house." The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?

That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them." "For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house." Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. To all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the beautiful flowers.

is it that hard to open up their eyes for them to see just how much damage they have done to this planet already!!?!??

being on the road these few days has been really distaunting...
with the haze going on,
you can even see those damn lorries polluting the already polluted air with their dirty cardon monoxide gas!!!

like wtf!?!?

you can't bloody see those huge puffs of dirty smoke coming out of your damn disgusting bigass pipe, which is conveniently located on top of the vehicle?!?!?!

or is your rear mirror too damn dirty and smeared with all those filth you made that you can't even see those dirty smoke at the back of the smoke trail your unserviced vehicle made!??!?!

ARGHH!!!!

we need some major help from Captain Planet.....

if only he's real..
along with his 5 planeteers...



maybe the medias should start showing this cartoon series again.

Haze Free!


for the past few days, everyday seemed like a haze to me.

it started when i woke up one morning, looked out the window and i got excited!!
Cos i thought there'll be white christmas this year!!!!

just looking at all these misty scenaries would actually get you finding your winter jackets and coats, dusting them clean and ready to welcome winter!!

but alas, i see them mists but i feel no shivers.....

BUT this morning,
i woke up with clean crisp fresh air welcoming me!!!

the sky looked very much similiar as the one filmed in the movie Day After Tomorrow.
(towards the end when the son got rescued by the dad and search teams with helicopters started flying around NYC that is...)

it was definately a beautiful sight for sore eyes.

Hi...




its the beginning of yet another brand new month.

been awhile since my last post as well. kinda been dreading yet at the same time longing to update my blog. one of the many contridictions of life. ha.

so what's been happening since?
let's just say you havent missed much of anything.

yesterday was chatting with my lil nephew in taiwan and he was asking when will i be coming to taiwan?? seriously been thinking of making a trip down for a long time. just that its either time isn't on my side, else can't exactly find kakis to go with. this time round, its the latter.

Malaysia's tap water is simply too unhygience to drink it from and thus there's this little so-called Water Hydrant machine in some parts of the area. and its not free of cos!!!

20cents for normals water and 50cents for ice cold... think its 20 cents per litre for normal and 50 cents per 500ml for ice cold.. its reverse osmosis pure water. i wonder which is better... cold mineral waters from 7-11s or reverse osmosis pure water from such a machine........


havent been taking much pictures whenever i'm in KL... its either nothing to take of or nobody to take it with. well, something like that.




47 more days left to going back to Singapore. can't wait to see all my darlings again. hopefully this time i'll be staying for good :)

miss having coffees, drinks, cakes and gossips with audrey.
miss meeting the guys for dinners and some occasional lunches and chilling-outs.
miss spending quality time with my grandparents and silly bedtalks with granny.
miss great laughters and once inawhile too many a drinks with everyone.
miss shopping with audrey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha

cant wait to meet up with debby in december again! thankfully she'll be coming back for some visa application before heading to the UK for work. then dardar will be coming back to spore for few months. hopefully we'll be able to plan out a getaway trip successfully.

Mr Niceguy JJ might be making a trip up KL in the upcoming weeks. that means i'll be able to go K with him again!! at last something to look forward to in KL.....

this might be a busy week for me. looking forward to that as well. hahahaha. something to keep my brain going and myself occupied. plus it helps to add some socialising skills and laughters back into my life once again.


it's funny how life will twist and turn each other. but we're once more a stronger and alert person after each battle.

don't assume everyone can take your attitude towards life. don't assume by acting the way you are, people will forgive and forget that easily. there's always a limitation in everyone of us. even if they're the most forgiving, most liberal and the bestest friend to you. don't assume everything will be the same at the end of the day. don't assume money can buy happiness, cos happiness and friendship is priceless. don't assume people think the same way as you do. don't assume everyone knows what you're thinking when you yourself keeps quiet and expects people to know all the time. don't assume anything. if you don't ask or speak out, people assumes too. and that's when assumptions goes wrong and hits you back the hardest.

continue assuming and you're simply bluffing yourself.

have fun assuming.

cos i know u will.

life isnt all about fun and games.

not all people can tolerate, stick around and wait for you.

or u're just living in a world of fantasy.

i seriously don't care anymore.
