i -heart- Taipei
finally managed to organise and upload most of the pics i took in taipei... took me 3 days to get this post up!!! hahahahahahaha enjoy~
********
Tagged along on a last minute short trip with dad to Taipei early this week via China Airlines.
we added on a special request of having vegeterian meals on board and boy, it sucked!!!! the main dish was really VEGE-terian lor... only had veges and rice, that's about it. thank god the side dishes was still alright.
we arrived Taipei airport around late evening. Had my paternal aunt and cousin to pick us up from airport and back their house for our entire stay.
Throughout the whole trip, I was anticipating on catching up with my maternal relatives instead. hahahahahh so i was pretty psyched when my mum informed me that her sister asked me to stay over their place for one night cos my nephew, mongmong will be bringing me around during most of the time in this trip.
But dad opposed to the idea of me staying overnight there but mongmong and family did bring me around so i'm good. heheheh :)
anyway so we didn't do much on our first night there except my paternal cousin brought me walk around at one of their smaller night markets. Tried some interesting dishes like pig's blood cake (tasted bad!!), fried fish pieces, etc.
Wednesday met up with my maternal folks. It was great fun and much more interesting!! My paternal aunt and cousin tagged along with us. Did a small amount of catching up with the folks at their house before lunch and they drove us to the restaurant after.
after lunch we went to
Taipei 101 for window-shopping and pictures-taking, then headed to
Miramar shopping mall for light shopping. Brought a pair of jeans and a cap~ heheheh.

Thursday went shoe-shopping with dad and my paternal relatives until 3ish pm at some shopping mall. Then mongmong and luenluen came to meet me. From there we got onto the bus and train down
Xi Men Ding, reaching there around 430pm. Spent the rest of the day shopping for a new bag, gotten some accessories and had our dinner as well.
then towards the end of the night when i got back to my paternal aunt's house, my cousin brought us to play with fireworks!! hahahaha me first time!! quite fun but kinda tiring. ha!!

.firecrackers/fireworks night.
Friday was spent at
Shi-Lin night market. The paternal side was busy this day so luckily mongmong and family was able to bring me and daddy visit Shi-Lin night market. Before that, Dad finally gotten the pair of shoes he wanted from Timberland.

Mongmong picked us up at 430pm outside NewYork NewYork and headed over to Shi-Lin night market. When we got there, I bought a bag of "shui wong" fruits and it was soooooo deliciously cruchy and sweet!!!! I got sooo excited about it that i kept telling daddy just how sweet and deliciously it was... -_-" seriously it was like the best "shui wong" i have even eaten in my 24+ years of life!! (i -heart- taipei!!!!)
The night market is huggeee.
There's even a pet street that sells the most adorable puppies and kittens. they even got colorful toads, turtles, tortises, hamsters, etc etc. Then there's the food court that's forever crowded with mountains of people and stall owners shouting around to attract customers. You know which stalls has the best selection simply by looking at the number of people queueing up for it. hahahaha~ Lasting not forgetting the clothes and accessories area. Plenty of competitions around. There're even illegal stall-standers who we saw pushing their trolleys out all of a sudden when news of police spot-checking leaked.
Managed to buy some cute little soveniors back with me. Left the place after dinner and reached home around 10ish pm.. Had an exhausted night packing and doing some last minute talks with my paternal relatives before heading to sleep around 2ish am...
.Shi-Lin night market.
