A girl with an expressionless face

What does she see in the mirror infront of her? Just a girl with an expressionless face. Almost like a shell without a soul.

What does she feel inside of herself? Emptiness. Insecurity. Hollow. Lost.

She feels like she is the shadow of her parents. Something emotionless and expressionless. Not someone. She grew up with her dad breathing down her neck and her mum continuous manipulations throughout her life. To her mother, everyone is bad. Nobody's trustworthy. She doesn't even trust her own child for god's sake. What's there more to say?

Everyday was pointless and meaningless for her. Questions being bombarded to her, only to be decided by her parents in the end. Her opinions was worthless.

Her whole life was being pathed by her parents. Which schools to enter, which studies to be enrolled and which faculty to take. She became indecisive and lost in her parents' so-called "protected" world.

Friends was being selected and choosen by her parents. The friends she gotten to know was considered as bad people and she was even brainwashed by her mother to think that her best friend was a bad influence on her. Her best friend was the only person whom she gotten to trust and confide in after so many years being "jailed" by her parents. But her mother easily manipulated her daughter to get rid of that best friend...

Years past and she began to experience life differently. As she managed to hang out with people whom her parents objected, the more she grew to understand and appreciate the outside life and adventures. She did not take up the bad habits her friends had. She has self-control and knew the whats and what nots. Still her parents was there to pull her back into their shadowed world everytime she thought she saw the light...
