Eventful SaturdaySometimes i really wonder just how am i really proud to be a Singaporean. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Singapore. The thing that gets to me is the people. The older generation somewhat behaves in such a way that they think the world focus on just them. Everything that has gone wrong isn't their fault. It's others - the government, the strict rules, or the employees. Ever since I started working casual weekends at the nice cafe in Myers, I seen the ugly faces of Singaporeans. It's funny how one is able to see how their own native people behaves in a foreign country. Sure there are nice people as well but it's how these ugly behaviours really gets to me. I can't seem to figure out what made them this way. Is it really because Singapore is such a 'rich' country now that people just takes everything for granted? Has Singaporeans really reached to an extent that we are
really termed as all the Ks?
Anyway, colin just called me. Was telling him what happened at work which made me felt so depressed and also what caused me having such doubtful emotions about Singaporeans. The story went like this... Today it was heaps busy. Suddenly everyone came to Myers and went to our cafe for lunch. People was crowding up the counter area looking at the menus and ordering. As the boss always want fast and effective work from us, we were rushing here and there, bringing food and coffee to the table. Anyhow, there was this guy who apparently i guess is from Singapore due to his accent. I didn't notice he was carrying and eatting sushis while standing at the counter and thinking what to order. Other customers was kind enough to not get in my way, except for him. Due to his lack in height, I wasn't able to notice he was stupidly carrying some sushis and eatting. The lady infront of him moved away to let me through but due to unforseeable reasons, I was able to actually knocked down his sushis... -_- Like what typical Singaporean older generation people would do - He criticised my clumpsiness and asked for the boss. I gladly showed him who my boss is and when he took his order, he complaint. My boss asked which staff bumped into him but he didn't point his fingers. I guess my boss was able to guess as I was just standing there waiting for the coffees. After he walked away to wait for his take-away order, my boss looked at me and i looked at him apologitically... My boss understood but I still couldn't get this incident off my mind. *sigh*...
Away with bad thoughts now. After work, I met up with the guys - Nick, Hang & Christophe and headed down to Devi's place to rest abit then we all met up again at Broadway Shopping Centre. As planned, we got our BBQ food at Coles. There was like HEAPS of people there as usual. The queue was damn long *sigh* so while waiting for our turn.... i got bored and took out my camera.
:: Nick & Christophe acting silly ::Hang took over and started playing with it *lol*

:: Hang's work of Art in Coles while queueing :: Yazi was nice enough to help me book the BBQ pitt over at Unilodge. BBQ started at 7pm i think. The guys was the chefs for the night *lol* We were allllll starving!!! For entertainment was my all-time trusty lil mobile radio tuner :)
BBQ was good. Good food, good company. Chilled out abit and then cleared up the place. Went over to Broadway Bar to hit afew rounds of pool... Nick decided to take a quick nap while we were playing pool and Christophe couldn't help but to play a fool on him. hahhah

We then all headed back to Devi's place for a quick drink - Tia Maria + Milk.
:: me & Hang :: Christophe & me ::
Her flatmates also invited afew friends over so the apartment was kinda crowded. hahaha Love the atmosphere but not the weather... After awhile, we all headed back home. The guys was such gentlemen to walk me all the way back home.
It was a nice Saturday. Legs are aching right now due to excessive standing/walking but feeling oh-so-good.
Work tomorrow again... Better sleep early tonight else gonna be late for work again *blush*
